Create a Jet Analytics Application Server in Azure

Note: This article is intended for Azure database administrators. Ensure the following tasks are completed by someone with the appropriate Azure database administration privileges.

This guide covers how to deploy and configure a Jet Analytics environment using the Azure Marketplace App: Jet Analytics Application Server. Deploying the necessary Azure resources generally takes approximately fifteen minutes.

Deploy and configure the Jet Analytics Application Server

1. Deploy the Jet Analytics Application Server
   1. Sign in to portal.azure.com.
   2. Search for Jet Analytics Application Server in the search bar and navigate to the deployment page.
   3. Click Create.
   4. Configure the desired properties for the virtual machine.
   5. Click Create.
2. Connect to the virtual machine
   1. Once deployment is complete, navigate to the virtual machine and click Connect.
   2. Select RDP and download the RDP file.
   3. Open the downloaded RDP file and click Connect.
   4. Enter the credentials for the virtual machine created in step 1 and click OK.

      

3. Install Jet Analytics Data Integration and the Jet Analytics Ingest Service on the Application Server, then set up your instances. See Install Jet Analytics Data Integration for instructions.
