Getting Started with Jet Analytics Orchestration

This guide covers the initial steps for scheduling and monitoring end-to-end processing for Ingest, Prepare, and Deliver instances, and how to manage processes in Jet Analytics Orchestration.

Connect Jet Analytics to Jet Analytics Orchestration

  1. Log in to the Jet Analytics Portal and navigate to Security and Permissions in the admin section.
  2. Generate an API key by entering a unique name and clicking Generate API Key.
  3. Open Jet Analytics Orchestration and add a new Data Provider in the general section.
  4. Select your system and choose Jet Analytics Data Integration as the Datasource Type.
  5. Paste the API key generated in step 2 and click Test connection to verify.

Add and schedule Jet Analytics packages

  1. In Jet Analytics Orchestration, right-click Packages and select New, then choose Jet Analytics Ingest, Jet Analytics Prepare, or Jet Analytics Deliver. Enter a name for the package.
  2. Select the Data Provider created in the previous section and choose the task or execution package to add. Click Save. Repeat for all tasks or execution packages to orchestrate — each will appear in the Packages folder.
  3. In the Schedule Groups folder, select a predefined schedule or create a new one. Once selected or created, drag and drop tasks and packages from the right-hand panel onto the schedule.

Create a process

  1. Navigate to the Processes folder and create a New Process.
  2. Drag and drop Jet Analytics tasks and execution packages from the right-hand panel to define the process sequence. Configure whether each step should fail the parent process on failure, and set actions to take on failure.

Create a process map

  1. Navigate to the Process Maps folder and create a new Process Map.
  2. Click Background.
  3. Design the process map using a template (click Insert and double-click Templates) or create a custom visual using the shapes in the right-hand panel or your own images.
  4. To add Jet Analytics tasks or execution packages to the map, click Items and drag and drop them from the right-hand panel to the desired location. Activating the title label next to each process is recommended. Alternatively, synchronise an existing process to import all its packages in bulk: click the link in the right-hand panel and select the appropriate process map.
  5. When the process map is complete, click Save and Deploy.
